KOMIPO INVITES COAL BIDS FOR BORYEONG POWER PLANT
 COALspot.com: South Korea state-owned utility Korea Midland Power (KOMIPO) issued an another new tender for total 1,280,000 Metric Tons of Bituminous coal for its Boryeong Power Plant.
According to the tender, the quantity of coal to be purchased is 1,280,000 Metric Tons (MT) on One Single Fixed Price Based on FOBT. The coal shall be shipped at the port of loading in accordance with the following schedule:
-- 130,000 MT×5 shipments of min 5,700kcal/kg NAR coal to be loaded 1st shipment in Nov - Dec 2017, 2nd to 5th: evenly spread for each quarter 2018. Only Colombian coal is acceptable for this loading period.
-- 70,000MT×3 shipments of min 4,600kcal/kg NAR coal to be loaded between Oct - Dec 2017, evenly spread for each month. Any Origin of coal can participate this tender, but the coal should be from Single Mine.
-- 70,000×MT6 shipments of min 4,600kcal/kg NAR coal to be loaded between Oct - Dec 2017, 2 shipments in Oct 2017 and 4 shipments in November & December evenly spread for each month. No Origin restriction for this coal inquiry.
According to the tender terms, total moisture (as received basis) of coal for Min 5,700 Kcal/kg NAR should not more than 15% and volatile matter (adb) restricted in between min 22% to max 38 %. The total sulfur (arb) of 5700 NAR coal also limited to max 1%, calorific value minimum 5700 kcal/kg and maximum 6100 kcal/kg NAR and Ash (adb) should not more than 17%.
In the meantime, total moisture (as received basis) of coal for Min 4,600 kcal/kg NAR should not more than 28% and volatile matter (adb) restricted in between Min 22% - Max 45%. The total sulfur (arb) of 4,600 Kcal/kg NAR coal also limited to max 0.9 % on ARB basis, calorific value minimum 4,600 kcal/kg NAR and Ash (adb) should not more than 17%.
Submissions of bids should not later than August 16, 2017, 12:00 hrs (Korean Standard Time).
The Bid documents can be submitted in person, by mail or courier not later than August 16, 2017, to Mr. You ShinKim/ General Manager / Fuel 1 Team, Smart work center Seoul Power Plant, Korea Midland Power Company Limited, 56, Tojeong-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea.
