KOMIPO INVITES BIDS FOR 1.13 MILLION TONS OF BITUMINOUS COAL FOR Q2' 17
 COALspot.com: South Korea state-owned utility Korea Midland Power (KOMIPO) issued a new tender for 1,130,000 Metric Tons of Bituminous coal for its Boryeong Power Plant.
Bidders are requested to offer with quotation one single fixed price based on FOBT term.
According to tender norms, the price should be on FOBT. Bidders are requested to offer with a fixed price quotation up to a feasible amount of coal in lots of 130,000 MT×3 of 5,700 kcal/kg NAR coal for April 2017 loading and 125,000 MT×2 of 5,700 kcal/kg NAR coal for May or June2017 loading.
The tender also looking for 70,000 MT×3 of 4,600 kcal/kg NAR coal for April 2017 loading and 70,000 MT×4 of 4,600 kcal/kg NAR coal for May or June 2017 loading.
Russian and Chinese coals are not allowed to offer under this tender.
According to the tender terms, total moisture (as received basis) of coal for 4600 Kcal/kg NAR should not more than 28% and volatile matter (adb) restricted in between 22 – 45%. The total sulfur (arb) of 4600 NAR coal also limited to max 1% and Ash (adb) should not more than 17%.

Submissions of bids should not later than February 10, 2017, 14:00 hrs (Korean Standard Time).
The Bid documents can be submitted in person, by mail or courier not later than February 10, 2017 to Mr. Hyoung Nam Kim/ General Manager / Fuel 1 Team, Smartwork center Seoul Power Plant, Korea Midland Power Company Limited, 56, Tojeong-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea.
