CS COAL INDEX ROSE FOR SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK
 COALspot.com: Average 5000 GAR coal index of Indonesian origin was up 0.38 percent week over week to averaging $39.16 per ton this past week, shows CS (i) Coal Index weekly closing figures.
According to the CS (i) coal index, the CS 50 (5000 GAR coal) index was rose US$ 0.15 per ton week on week and US$ 0.12 per ton day-over-day on 3 June 2016.
The CS 57 (5700 GAR coal) index was also increased slightly (0.19% percent) week-over-week this past week. The CS 57 (5700 GAR coal) index closed US$ 47.96 a ton on 3 June 2016, US$ 0.11 per ton higher than US$ 47.85 a ton closed on 4 May 2016.
The CS (i) Coal index is the newly established price reference for Indonesian coal. CS (i) Coal Index contains independent, real-time price assessments. The Indices are based on the inputs provided by CS (i) coal index Panelists on the real-time basis during Indonesian office hours.
COALspot.com is publishing CS (i) Coal Index for 3800, 4200, 5000 and 5700 kcal/kg GAR coal of Indonesian Origin. A set of these four indices developed by COALspot.com is intended to help the industry to monitor the trend of coal prices on the real-time basis and act as a market forecaster for active coal producers, traders and end-users.
The CS 42 (4200 GAR) Index closed at US$ 27.44 per ton on 3 June 2016, US$ 0.12 higher compared to 27 May 2016 closing.
CS 38 Index which is representing 3800 GAR coal of Indonesian origin was closed at US$ 21.15 per ton on 3 June 2016. CS 38 Index was closed US$ 0.05 per ton higher compared to 27 May 2016 closing.
According to past CS (i) coal index records, the CS 38 index sheds at least 24.67% year over year or since 5 June 2015 to date (3 June 2016). While the CS 42 and CS 50 indices fell around 17.96% and 14.55% respectively since 5 June 2015 to date (3 June 2016).
CS 57 index was slipped 13.22% year on year (since 3 June 2015).
CS 38 - TM 40%, Ash 5% Max, Sulphur 0.4% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 3,800 Kcal/kg
CS 42 - TM 35%, Ash 6% Max, Sulphur 0.8% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 4,200Kcal/kg
CS 50 - TM 26%, Ash 7% Max, Sulphur 0.8% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 5,000 Kcal/kg
CS 57 - TM 18%, Ash 12% Max, Sulphur 1.0% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 5,700 Kcal/kg
