WEEKLY CS (I) COAL INDEX FOR 5700 GAR COAL UP 0.03 CENTS, OR ABOUT 0.06 PERCENT, TO $48.21 A TON
 COALspot.com: Average 5000 GAR coal index of Indonesian origin fell 0.15 percent week over week to averaging $38.82 per ton on this past Friday, according to CS (i) Coal Index.
According to the CS (i) coal index, the CS 50 (5000 GAR coal) index declined US$ 0.06 per ton week on week and US$ 0.08 per ton day over day on 8 April 2016.
However, the CS 57 (5700 GAR coal) index up 0.06 percent week over week this past week. The CS 57 (5700 GAR coal) index closed US$ 48.21 a ton on 8 April 2016, US$ 0.37 per ton lesser than US$ 48.58 a ton closed on 11 March 2016.
The CS (i) Coal index is the newly established price reference for Indonesian coal. CS (i) Coal Index, contains independent, real-time price assessments. The index are based on the inputs provided by CS (i) coal index panelists on real-time basis during Indonesian office hours.
COALspot.com is publishing CS (i) Coal Index for 3800, 4200, 5000 and 5700 kcal/kg GAR coal of Indonesian Origin. A set of these four indices developed by COALspot.com is intended to help the industry to monitor the trend of coal prices on real-time basis and act as a market forecaster for active coal producers, traders and end-users.
The CS 42 (4200 GAR) index closed at US$ 27.20 per ton on 8 April 2016, US$ 0.03 higher compared to 1 April 2016 closing.
CS 38 Index which is representing 3800 GAR coal of Indonesian origin was closed at US$ 21.05 per ton on 8 April 2016. CS 38 Index was flat from last week and day over day.
According to CS (i) coal index’s past records, the CS 38 index sheds at least 29.57% year over year or since 10 April 2015 to date (8 April 2016). While, the CS 42 and CS 50 indices fell around 24.42% and 20.54% respectively since 10 April 2015 to date (8 April 2016). CS 57 index was slipped 17.58% year on year (since 10 April 2015).
CS 38 - TM 40%, Ash 5% Max, Sulphur 0.4% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 3,800 Kcal/kg
CS 42 - TM 35%, Ash 6% Max, Sulphur 0.8% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 4,200Kcal/kg
CS 50 - TM 26%, Ash 7% Max, Sulphur 0.8% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 5,000 Kcal/kg
CS 57 - TM 18%, Ash 12% Max, Sulphur 1.0% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 5,700 Kcal/kg
