FOB INDONESIA COAL SWAP FOR DELIVERY H1'16 REMAIN FLAT AS DEMAND DROPS OFF
 COALspot.com: Indonesian coal swap delivery Q1 2016 declined month on month, flat week over week. The price for coal has been in a Dull Market since 2013 and looks to continue the trend in 2016.
The supply for coal is Increasing at a faster rate than the decline in demand for coal.
According to AsiaClear OTC coal swap's reports released on 31 December 2015, the Q1 2016 swap slipped US cents 42 to US$ 36.75 month over a month.
FOB Indonesia coal swap
According to this past week’s SGX data, sub-bit FOB Indonesia coal swap (average) Q2 2016 swap dropped $0.15 (0.41%) per ton month on month and flat week on week.
The SGX's data further indicates that, FOB Indonesia coal swap for Q3 2016 delivery lost US$ 0.45 (-1.23%) per ton month on month and closed at US$ 36.15 per MT.
Sub-bit FOB Indonesia coal swap, as per SGX's data, particularly for Q1,Q2 and Q3 2016 deliveries declined month over month and no change week on week.
SGX Asia Clear OTC Sub-Bit Indonesian coal for Q1 2016 delivery swap closed US$ 0.60 (1.63%) higher compared to average Q3 2016 delivery price of US$ 36.15 on 31 December 2015. In the meantime, Q3 delivery price slightly ( US$ 0.20/ton) lower compared to Q2 closing price.
Coal futures have falling, hit by soaring production and a slowdown in India and China buying. India, one of the huge coal consumer and importer, has also started to import less volume recent months as its domestic output has begun improving.
According to Coal Secretary of India, coal imports will continue to come down in the ongoing fiscal, as unprecedented increase in output of the fossil fuel by state-owned Coal India Ltd. The Coal Index, the state-owned firm, which accounts for over 80% of the domestic coal production, is eying to 1 billion tones production by 2020.
