CFR SOUTH CHINA COAL SWAP FALL CONTINUES
 COALspot.com: API 8 CFR South China Coal swap for Q2’ 2015 delivery declined US$ 5.96 (-10.37%) per MT month over month and US$ 0.98 (-1.87%) per MT week on week.
A commodity swap is a financial agreement whereby a floating price is exchanged for a fixed rate over a certain period of time.
According to DSP of SGX AsiaClear thermal coal derivatives, as reported on Thursday 2 April 2015, performance of CFR South China Coal swap remain weak this past week. Q2, Q3 and Q4 delivery swap were lost around US$ 6.40 per MT month over month and around $1 w-o-w.

South China Coal swap for average Q3' 15 delivery has also declined US$ 6.40 per Mt month over month on 2 April 2015 and closed at US$ 50.95 a ton. The swap for average Q4’ 2015 delivery also fell month over month and week over week, according to SGX AsiaClear OTC coal swap's reports released week ended 2 April 2015.
Average Q4’ 2015 delivery swap closed at US$ 51.27 a ton on 2 April 2015 a US$ 1.11 lesser than previous week closing and a US$ 6.38 (11.07%) per MT lower from 2 March 2015 closing price of $ 57.65.

API 8 CFR South China coal swap for average Q2’15 delivery swaps closed at US$ 51.52 pmt on 2 April 2015 a $ 0.57 higher than Q3’ 15 closing price of US$ 50.95.
Q2' 2015 vs Q4’ 2015
API 8 CFR South China Coal swap for average Q2’ 2015 delivery closed US$ 0.25 (0.49%) per MT higher compared to average Q4’ 2015 delivery price of US$ 51.27 on 2 April 2015.
According to this past week's swaps trend, average Q2, Q3 & Q4 2015 coal swaps were declined month over month and week over week. Hope for sooner coal-price recovery is still dim.
