CFR SOUTH CHINA THERMAL COAL SWAP DECLINED 3.74% M-O-M
 COALspot.com: API 8 CFR South China Coal swap for Q2’ 2015 delivery declined US$ 2.17 (-3.74%) per MT month over month and US$ 0.67 (-1.194%) per MT week on week.
A commodity swap is a financial agreement whereby a floating price is exchanged for a fixed rate over a certain period of time.
According to DSP of SGX AsiaClear thermal coal derivatives, as reported on 13 March 2015, performance of CFR South China Coal swap was weak this past week. Q2, Q3 and Q4 delivery swap was lost around US$ 2.17 – 2.48 per MT month over month and around $0.67 – 0.91 w-o-w.

South China Coal swaps for average Q3' 15 delivery has also declined US$ 2.40 per mt month over month on 13 March 2015 and closed at US$ 55.48 a ton. The swap for average Q4’ 2015 delivery also down month on month and week over week according to SGX AsiaClear OTC coal swap's reports released week ended 13 March 2015.
Average Q4’ 2015 delivery swap closed at US$ 55.47 a ton on 13 March 2015 a US$ 0.91 lesser than previous week closing and a US$ 2.48 (4.28%) per MT lower from 13 February 2015 closing price of $ 57.95.

API 8 CFR South China coal swap for average Q2’15 delivery swaps closed at US$ 55.83 pmt on 13 March 2015 a $ 0.35 higher than Q3’ 15 closing price of US$ 55.48.
Q2' 2015 vs Q4’ 2015
API 8 CFR South China Coal swap for average Q2’ 2015 delivery closed US$ 0.36 (0.63%) per MT higher compared to average Q4’ 2015 delivery price of US$ 55.47 on 13 March 2015.
According to this past week's swaps trend, average Q2, Q3 & Q4 2015 coal swaps were declined month over month and week over week. No sign of sooner recovery. Based on the current trend no recovery can be expected in 2015 unless, there is any sudden change in demand.
