FOB RICHARDS BAY COAL SWAP FOR Q4 DELIVERY CLOSED 4% LOWER THAN Q1 DELIVERY PRICE
 COALspot.com: API 4 FOB Richards Bay Coal swap for delivery Q1' 2015 declined month over month and week over week.
The Q1 swap has fell US$ 8.70 (-13.24%) month on month to US$ 57.00 per Mt according to AsiaClear OTC coal swap's reports released on 16 January.
FOB Richards Bay Coal Swaps
API 4 FOB Richards Bay Coal for (average) Q2' 2015 delivery also fell month on month and week on week. The average swap declined $ 9.47 (-14.73%) per MT month on month and US$ 2.60 per MT week over week during 12 - 16 January 2015, the past week’s SGX data shows. According to available data, FOB Richards Bay coal swap Q2’ 2015 delivery closed at US$ 54.80 per MT on 16 January 2015.
Q4' 2015 delivery swap also follows Q1 and Q2 swaps trend and lost average US$ 10.20 (-15.72%) month over month and closed at US$ 54.70 compared US$ 64.90 closed on 16 December 2014. FOB Richards Bay coal swap, as per SGX's data, particularly for Q1, Q2 and Q4 '2015 deliveries declined week over week and month over month.
SGX Asia Clear OTC FOB Richards Bay coal Q2' 2015 delivery swap closed US$ 2.20 (-3.86%) per MT lower compared to average Q1' 2015 delivery price of US$ 57.00 per MT on 16 January 2015. In the meantime, the coal swap for Q4' 2015 delivery, closed average US$ 2.30 (-4.04%) per MT lower than swap for Q1' 2015 delivery for the same reported period.
The API 4 FOB Richards Bay Coal swap for Q1' 2015 delivery has achieved a highest price of average US$ 58.17 / MT on 12 January 2015 and has entered its lowest level (US$ 57.00 / MT) on 16 January 2015.
Richards Bay Coal Swap performed negative for last few weeks due to low demand. Reuters recently reported that, weak European economy and strong alternative fuel production, as well as the rout in oil prices, among the other reasons to pushed down European coal prices recent week.
