SUPRAMAX S8 ROUTE SLIGHTLY INCREASED WEEK ON WEEK
 COALspot.com: The BDI continued its fall as cape index fell heavily week on week.
The BDI lost around14.83 pct within last five working day and closed at 983 points on 5 December 2014. Meanwhile the cape index fell 40.39 pct and closed at 1282 points for the same period.
The panamax index was also slightly soft or lost 2.85 pct and closed at 1088 points. The Supramax index was closed at 971 points after losing around 1.52% within a week. The handy size, the only sector the increasesd week on week or up 1.63 pct and closed at 499 points.
In the Far East/SE Asia the freight rates were firm and the Supramax charter rates being rated around US$ 13,000 per day delivery Singapore for trip to India. Panamax charter were also steady and ships were reported fixed at around US$ 9,500 per day delivery Shanghai for a trip to India.
Freight rates are expected to be flat to soft next week.
The average charter rates were reported at around US$ 8,425 per day for cape, US$ 8,676 per day for Panamax, US$ 10,158 per day for Supramax and US$ 7,251 per day Handy size.
The futures for three years (2015-2017) was reported at around US$ 15,000 per day for Cape, US$ 10,000 per day for Panamax, US$ 10,000 per day Supramax and Handysize at US$ 8,500 per day.
The route S8 route for Supramax firmed up slightly and increased 2.40 pct week on week and closed at US$ 9,706 per day (last week US$ 9,478 per day).
Freight rates from Indonesia to India is expected to be steady/firm next week.
The Brent crude oil prices was slightly down or fell 1.54 pct week on week and closed at US$ 69.07 per barrel (last week US$ 70.15 per barrel). The bunker prices also softened and closed at US$ 414.00 pmt (IFO 380 cst ex Singapore on 5th Dec 2014).
