NEWCASTLE COAL SWAP CLOSED AT $ 52.65 FOR Q1' 15 DELIVERY
 COALspot.com: API 5 FOB Newcastle Coal swap for Q1’ 2015 delivery decreased US$ 2.83 (-5.10%) month over month and US$ 1.35 (-2.50%) week over week.
API 5 FOB Newcastle Coal swap
FOB Newcastle Coal swap for average Q1' 15 delivery lost US$ 0.02 per mt day on day on 7 November and closed at US$ 52.65 a ton. The swap for average Q2’ 2015 delivery also lost month on month, week on week and on day according to SGX AsiaClear OTC coal swap's reports released week ended 7 November 2014.
Average Q2’ 2015 delivery swap closed at US$ 52.85 a ton on 7 November 2014, a US$ 3.30 (-5.88%) lower from a month. Average Q4' 15 delivery swap also lost US$ 4.52 month on month and closed at US$ 53.28 per mt.
SGX Asia Clear
Bulk commodity markets continue to trend towards shorter term index-linked pricing and spot sales volumes have been surging, SGX said in its latest market update note. SGX further said, this has led to a general, and perhaps permanent, rise in price volatility. In addition, monetary policies globally appear to be diverging. As a result, exchange rate uncertainty and volatility look set to increase over the coming year.
According to SGX, it is provides market participants with effective risk management tools to manage both commodity price and currency exposures via the same clearing venue.
Q2' 2015
FOB Newcastle Coal swap for average Q2’ 2015 delivery closed at US$ 52.85 pmt on 7 November 2014, a $ 0.20 (+0.38%) higher compared to Q1’ 2015 closing price of US$ 52.65 for the same period.
Q4' 2015
API 5 FOB Newcastle Coal swap for average Q4’ 2015 delivery closed US$ 0.63 (+1.20%) higher compared to average Q1’ 2015 delivery price of US$ 52.65 on 7 November 2014.
According to this past week's swaps trend, average Q1, Q2 & Q4’ 2015 coal swaps lost on day, week and on month. However Q2 and Q4 closing prices little higher than Q1’ 2014 closing.
FOB Newcastle Coal swap for Q1’ 2015 delivery swap was achieved a highest price (US$ 53.58) on 3 November 2014, and swap has experienced a lowest closing (US$ 52.65) on 7 November 2014.
