CFR SOUTH CHINA COAL SWAPS PERFORMED POSITIVE THIS PAST WEEK
 COALspot.com: API 8 CFR South China Coal swap for Q4’ 2014 delivery decreased US$ 1.68 (-2.55%) month over month and increased US$ 0.87 (+1.37%) week over week.

South China Coal swaps for average Q4' 14 delivery gained US$ 0.87 per mt week on week on 24 October and closed at US$ 64.30 a ton. The swap for average Q1’ 2015 delivery also lost month on month but gained week on week and on day according to SGX AsiaClear OTC coal swap's reports released week ended 24 October 2014.
Average Q1’ 2015 delivery swap closed at US$ 64.60 a ton on 24 October 2014, a US$ 1.63 (-2.46%) lower from a month. Average Q4' 15 delivery swap gained US$ 1.20 week on week and closed at US$ 65.48 per mt.
API 8 CFR South China coal swap for average Q1’ 2015 delivery closed at US$ 64.60 pmt on 24 October 2014, a $ 0.30 (+0.47%) higher compared to Q4’ 2014 closing price of US$ 64.30 for the same period.
API 8 CFR South China Coal swap for average Q4’ 2015 delivery closed US$ 1.18 (+1.84%) higher compared to average Q4’ 2014 delivery price of US$ 64.30 on 24 October 2014.
According to this past week's swaps trend, average Q1’ 2015 coal swaps gained narrowly compared to average Q4’ 2014 closing. However average Q4’ 2015 closed US$ 1.18 per MT higher compared to Q4’ 2014 closing prices. According to current swap trend, the coal prices in the year 2015 will also be similar to current level.
Indonesia, as the largest coal exporter and China is a net coal importer is trying to introduce number of regulations to cut coal exports and imports respectively. China is also to introduce import duty of 6% for thermal coal.
API 8 CFR South China Coal for Q4’ 2014 delivery swap was achieved a highest price (US$ 64.30) on 23 October 2014, and swap has experienced a lowest closing (US$ 63.53) on 20 October 2014. This week’s swaps movement was on upwards since Monday 20 October 2014.
API 8 CFR South China Coal swaps for delivery Q4’ 2014, Q1 & Q4’ 2015 were gained on day and week.
