API 8 CFR SOUTH CHINA COAL SWAP GAINED DAY OVER DAY AND MONTH OVER MONTH
COALspot.com: API 8 CFR South China Coal swap for delivery in September 2014 increased US$ 0.30 (+0.44%) day on day and decreased US$ 0.20 (-0.29%) week on week.
CFR South China Coal swap
South China Coal swap, the month over month the swap gained quite significant or around US$ 2.10 on Friday and closed at US$ 68.30 a ton. The swap for January 2015 delivery also gained on day, and on month but lost week on week according to SGX AsiaClear OTC coal swap's reports released week ended 22 August 2014.
January 2015 delivery swap closed at US$ 70.00 a ton on 22 August 2014, a US$ 1.55 (+2.26%) higher from a month and US$ 0.35 higher from previous day closing of US$ 69.65 per mt.
API 8 CFR South China coal shipment price for September 2015 or exactly after 12 months delivery has also gained US$ 0.50 (+0.69%) and US$ 1.45 (+2.04%) on day and month respectively. Week on week the swap was gained around US$ 0.15 (+0.21%) per mt. Overall the market sentiment was favoring coal producers this past week. Marketing is moving positive trend.
January 2015 delivery swap closed at US$ 70.00 pmt on 22 August 2014, a $ 1.70 (+2.49%) higher compared to September 2014 closing price of US$ 68.30 on 22 August 2014.
API 8 CFR South China Coal swap for average September 2015 delivery closed US$ 4.40 (+6.44%) higher compared to average September 2014 delivery price of US$ 68.30 on 15 August 2014. In the meantime, the average January 2015 coal swap was also closed 2.46 percent (US$ 1.70) higher than September 2014 swaps for the same period. According to this last week's swaps trend, January and September 2015 coal swaps were higher compared to September 2014, giving hope the market is trying to improve in spite of low demand and high output.
The price gap between the September 2014 and September 2015 delivery is quite promising as the different is around US$ 4.40 per mt confirming a positive trend.
API 8 CFR South China Coal for September 2014 delivery swap was achieved a highest price (US$ 68.50) on 18 August 2014, and swap experienced a lowest closing (US$ 67.90) on 20 August 2014.
API 8 CFR South China Coal swaps for delivery September 2014 and January & September 2015 were gained day over day, and month over month.
Richards Bay Thermal Coal swap
SGX API 4 FOB Richards Bay Thermal Coal swap for delivery September 2014 lost US$ 1.30 week over week and closed at US$ 71.00 on 22 August 2014. January as well as September 2015 delivery swaps also failed to perform positive move this past week.
Newcastle Thermal Coal swap
SGX API 5 FOB Newcastle Thermal Coal swap September 2014 delivery gained US$ 0. 20 per MT week on week on 22 August 2014, closed at US$ 56.95 per Mt. September 2015 delivery swaps closed at US$ 60.60, a $ 3.65 higher than Sep 14 closing price.
