INDONESIAN COAL SWAPS : FLAT ON DAY
 COALspot.com – Sub-Bit Indonesia coal swaps (FOB ) for average Q4 2013 delivery flat on day due to holidays in Indonesia, Malaysia & Singapore. The swap was weak on month but shows a positive move on week, according to AsiaClear OTC coal swap's reports released on 9 August 2013.
Sub-Bit FOB Indonesia coal swap for average Q4 2013 delivery was closed at US$ 58.50 per MT or US$ 0.25 higher compared to the same period last week.
DSP of SGX AsiaClear OTC Coal Swaps - Sub-Bit FOB Indonesia Coal
Q3 2014 delivery for the sub-bit Indonesia's coal swap was closed at US$ 60.80 per MT on 9 August 2013. In the meantime, average Q1 2014 delivery price flat on week and day but fell on month.
In the meantime, Q3 2014, sub-bit Indonesia's coal swap was flat on day, weak on week.
Asia Clear OTC Sub-Bit Indonesia coal swap for average Q1 2014 delivery closed US$ 1.00 (1.70%) higher compared to average Q4 2013 delivery price of US$ 58.50 on 9 August 2013. In the meantime, the Q3 2014 coal swap has closed US$ 2.30 (3.93%) higher than Q4 2013 swap for the same period.
This Friday’s the sub-bit Indonesia's coal swap for Q4 2013 delivery, lost US$ 1.33 (3.93%) month on month. Q1 2014 delivery also lost US$ 1.30 (2.13%) M-O-M.
Due to holidays, Sub-Bit Indonesia coal swap for Q4 2013 flat on day, gains on week but lost on month.
The sub-bit Indonesia's coal swap for Q4 2013 delivery has achieved highest price (US$ 58.62/ MT) on 7 August 2013. In the meantime, swap has reached its lowest level (US$ 58.30/ MT) on 5&6 August 2013.
DSP of SGX AsiaClear OTC Coal Swaps - API 8 CFR South China Coal
SGX has launched API 8 CFR South China Coal Swap on 29 April 2013 and replaced the previous swap.
API 8 CFR South China Coal shipment for average Q4 2013 delivery price gains US$ 0.25 per mt on week and lost US$ 1.21 on month, and flat on day on Friday, 9 August2013.
The average Q4 2013 swaps flat on day, gains on week and lost on month. In the meantime, Q1 2014 delivery swap was flat on day gained on week but lost on month.
Q3 2014 delivery price closed at US$ 79.85 a ton on 9 August 2013, a US$ 0.05 higher from a week. Q1 2014 API 8 CFR South China coal shipment prices gained US$ 0.05 PMT (0.06 percent) on week.
API 8 CFR South China Coal swap for average Q1 2014 delivery closed US$ 1.00 (1.30 %) higher compared to average Q4 2013 delivery price of US$ 76.50 on 9 August 2013. In the meantime, the Q3 2014 coal swap has closed US$ 3.35 PMT (4.37 %) higher than Q4 2013 swap for the same period.
API 8 CFR South China Coal swaps for Q4 2013 delivery has achieved a highest price (US$ 76.50) on 7,8 &9 august 2013. In the meantime, swap experienced a lowest level (US$ 76.23) on 6 August 2013.
Q3 2014 coal price trends are promising, but Q1, 2014 prices just slightly higher compared to Q4 2013 prices.
Due to week-long holidays in Indonesia, the Indonesian coal industry was almost mute this week and expected to return to market next Monday. However the normal operations are expected the week starting 19 August 2013.
Prior to start long holidays last week, the energy department of Indonesia has revised down its bench mark price for coal by 6.11% for August 2013 deliveries. Government has fixed minimum selling price of coal for GCV 6322 on GAR basis at US$ 76.70 per mt. This minimum selling price is applicable for the cargos to be shipped during 31 August 2013.
