SUB-BIT INDONESIA COAL SWAPS: UPWARD TREND
COALspot.com - Sub-Bit Indonesia coal swaps (FOB ) for average Q2’ 2013 delivery has gained 2.71 percent and CFR South China coal shipment gained 0.72 W-O-W as of Friday, 5 April 2013, according to the data released by AsiaClear OTC coal swaps on Friday.
A commodity swap is a financial agreement whereby a floating, or spot; price is exchanged for a fixed rate over a specified contract period.
DSP of SGX AsiaClear OTC Coal Swaps - Sub-Bit FOB Indonesia Coal
Sub-Bit Indonesia coal swaps (FOB ) for average Q2’ 2013 delivery has gained 2.71 percent W-W and 0.49 percent on D-D on Friday, 5 April 2013, AsiaClear OTC coal swap's report said. Sub-Bit FOB Indonesia coal swaps for average Q2’ 2013 delivery was opened on 2 April 2013 at US$ 61.89 pmt and closed at US$ 63.57 per MT on 5 April 2013.
Q4’ 2013 deliveries for the sub-bit Indonesia coal swap was opened at US$ 63.03 pmt on 2 April 2013 and closed at US$ 64.25 per MT on 5 April 2013. Average Q4’ delivery price has gained US$ 1.22 PMT W-o-W and US$ 0.25 D-o-D.
The sub-bit Indonesia's coal swaps for Cal 2014 delivery also gained 1.66 percent W-o-W and 0.46 percent D-o-D.
AsiaClear OTC Sub-Bit Indonesia coal swap for average calendar 2014 delivery closed US$ 2.97 higher compared to average Q2 delivery price of US$ 63.57on 5 April 2013. In the meantime, the Q4’ 2013 coal swap has closed US$ 0.68 higher than Q2 ‘ 2013 swap on 5 April 2013.
The sub-bit Indonesia's coal swaps for Q2’ 13 delivery lost US$ 1.87 (2.85%) M-O-M.

DSP of SGX AsiaClear OTC Coal Swaps - CFR South China Coal
CFR South China coal shipment for average Q2’ 2013 delivery price gained 0.72 per cent W-O-W and 0.15 percent D-O-D as of Friday, 5 April 2013.
The average Q4’ 2013 delivery price has also gained W-W and D-D. The contract for the Q2’ 2013 price gained US$ 0.13 per MT W-o-W and closed at US$ 83.00 a ton on 5 April 2013. Q4 CFR South China coal shipment prices gained US$ 0.60 PMT W-W and US$ 0.15 per MT DoD.
CFR South China coal shipments (average Q2’ 2013 delivery) was opened at US$ 82.40 per MT on 2 April 2013 and closed at US$ 83.00 per MT on 5 April 2013 gained US$ 0.60 PMT in a week. The CFR South China coal swaps for Q4’ 2013 delivery also followed Q2 trend gained 0.71 percent (US 0.60/ MT) W-o-W.
CFR South China coal swap for average Q4’ 2013 delivery closed US$ 1.70 (PMT) higher compared to average Q2’ 2013 delivery price. The calendar 2014 coal swap has closed US$ 4.84 (PMT) higher than average Q2 2013 swap.
The CFR South China coal swaps for Q2’ 13 delivery lost US$ 3.34 (3.86%) M-O-M.
The SGX Singapore exchange has announced on 5 April 2013 that the SGX API 8 CFR South China Coal Swap will go live for clearing on SGX-DC starting from 29 April 2013. According to a note from exchange, the SGX API 8 CFR South China Coal Swap will replace the existing SGX OTC CFR South China Coal Swap which was based on the IHS McCloskey/Xinhua Info link South China 5,500 kcal/kg NAR CFR Marker.
