INDONESIA INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE FOCUS ON INDONESIA'S ECONOMY (IICFIE) 2011 MASTER PLAN TO ACCELERATE THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Press Release - Since couple of years, Indonesia's economy show impressive growth. What is the Indonesia's Economic Corridor and the Master plan to accelerate and to expand Indonesian Economic Development 2011-2025? This theme will be presented by the Coordinating Minister Hatta Rajasa while speaking at the launch of the Indonesia International Conference Focus on Indonesia's Economy (IICFIE) 2011 this Wednesday, March 23, 2011.
Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Fadel Muhammad, who is also the Chairman of the Advisory Board IICFIE 2011, will present about the ASEAN Regional Development, from Indonesia to the World. Other officials will be present is the Minister / Head of National Development, Armida S. Alisjahbana. She will deliver the problematic in sharpening policies and provision for the Acceleration of Infrastructure Development both in the remote and in the developed area. Mr. Gita Wirjawan, the chairman of the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) will convey Promotion Potential Indonesia as a Profitable Marketplace for Local and International Investors to Boost Economy and Real Economic Growth.
The Seven Sectors
Indonesia's economy continues and will certainly continue to grow in incoming years and witouth doubt will map Indonesia as one of the most economic power in the region. While most of other countries are still busy quitting crisis in 2009, Indonesia was able to grow 4.5% and tend to include this nation to be part of BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, and China) and change it to be BRICI (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and Indonesia). This phenomenon and actual context determine the role of Indonesia in the region and this will become major theme in the forthcoming IICFIE 2011.
This international conference will be organized by Warta Ekonomi with theme "Shifting Regional Development, From Indonesia to The World". Attended by the three Coordinating Ministers and 16 ministers and ministerial-level officials from actual Cabinet. The Coordinating Minister Hatta Radjasa will present the Indonesia Economic Outlook 2011, the Coordinating Minister Agung Laksono features about the Human Development Outlook 2011 (Health, Education, Welfare) and the "Indonesian Labor Force Outlook 2011", while the Coordinating Minister Joko Suyanto about "Law and Security Outlook 2011 "and" Political Outlook 2011 "
The two-day international conference will discuss various economic issues comprehensively. There are seven dominant sectors of serious attention, they are; fisheries, energy, information and communication technology (ICT), manufacturing, and infrastructure. Three other sectors are finance, agro-industry, and investment. Each sector will be discussed in depth in a parallel session.
In the first parallel session under the theme of marine, Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Fadel Muhammad will speak about "The Potential and Challenges of Fisheries of Indonesia." In order to give an international perspective, this session will also present the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister for People's Republic of China.
The second parallel session on energy, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Darwin Saleh who will present "Platform and Energy Regulation in Indonesia." Along with the Minister of Energy of New and Renewable Energy of India Farooq Abdullah who will speak the same issues for the case of India.
Minister of Communications and Information Tifatul Sembiring will appear as a speaker in three parallel sessions on Information Technology. At the same time, the Minister of Communications of South Korea's Choi Kyung Hwan also presented at the same panel.
Manufacturing parallel sessions will present the Minister of Industry, MS Hidayat, the Head of BKPM Gita Wiryawan and the private sector from the Chairman of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Bambang Suryo Sulisto.
The first conference day will be ended with a plenary session presenting the Minister of Industry and Trade of Singapura Lim Hing Kiang, Minister of Economy of Malaysia. They will give their perspective vis-à-vis the most important neighbor and economic partners with Indonesia.
Plenary Session will be chaired by Chairul Tanjung, the chairman of the National Economic Committee. He will highlight various issues, among others about Indonesia as the New World Economic Power. In addition, ASEAN Secretary General will convey his views on economic prospects and the role of Indonesia in the future in the heart of ASEAN.
The first session in the 2nd day is the infrastructure session including Public Works Minister Joko Kirmanto, Transportation Minister Freddy Numberi, and the Minister / Chairman of National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) Armida Syalsiah Alibasjahbana.
The Six parallel sessions will discuss aspects of Finance and Investment, with the theme of Indonesia, The Sleeping Giant. This session presents Mr. Agus Martowardojo the Indonesian Finance Minister, Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Mr. Darmin Nasution, head of the Capital Market Supervisory Agency (Bapepam) Mr. Ahmad Fuad Rahmany and lastly the chairman of the Association of Commercial Banks National Private (Perbanas) Sigit Pramono.
Sector human resources will be discussed in the seventh parallel sessions. This session presents the Minister of National Education (Education Minister) M. Nuh, Minister of Health Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih.
The eighth parallel session will discuss the agro sector, Mr. Suswono Minister of Agriculture, Forestry Minister Zulkiflli Hasan, and Chairman of the Indonesian Farmers Association of Harmony (HKTI) Prabowo Subiakto.
The conference on the second day will be ended with a plenary session with the theme of Indonesia Investment Outlook: Asia Pacific Perspective. A number of leaders who will speak of them Chinese Commerce Minister Chen Deming, Commerce Minister of India Shri Sharma Arnand.
IICFIE2011 will be attended by some 1,000 participants both from Indonesia and overseas. They are senior bureaucratic officials, CEOs and decision makers from leading national and international corporation. In addition, representatives of professional associations like the Chamber of Commerce, HKTI, Banks Association, and various economic studies institute in the Asia Pacific region were also present to give his presentation.
